Pet Expo 2011

OMG I can't believe its been nearly a year since I last posted on here, so much has happened this year. We're getting ready for Pet Expo again. I have started some new designs, both on cards & candles with German Shepherds on them. Lots of boy ones as Fathers Day is just around the corner.

Wow Pet Expo

What an awesome weekend. People everywhere, kids stopping their parents just to pat the GSDs. My own Khloe did so well, she had kids eating out of her hand. Now that the build up to the expo is over time to think about Christmas, yes Christmas.

Pet Animal Expo Sept 18th & 19th North Shore

Only 3 days to go to Pet Expo, really looking forward to meeting lots of people, promoting German Shepherd Rescue, the GSD breed on my cards & candles. Been working really hard getting ready for it.

Personalized Loss of Pet Cards

Something I have been giving alot of thought to  for a while now is Personalizing "Loss of Pet cards". Its really hard when you lose that special furbaby that may have been part of your life from a young pup or even a Rescue pet you may have only had for a short time. Doesn't matter how short or how long they may have lived with you it isn't easy to say goodbye.

Christmas just around the corner

Who would think, Christmas is just around the corner. Where on a downhill slide now to the end of the year. These last 3 months will be busy with lots coming up & so much to do but there's always time for Christmas card making especially those GSD ones. There are some new GSD's gracing the cards as well as the other ones on last years Christmas cards.

Pet Animal Expo Sept 18th & 19th North Shore

As I have said in my bio the reason for all of this was the inspiration that came from someone close to me losing a pet. I know from when I lost my dear Harley 7yrs ago, who was my life, a friend sent me a poem that I have treasured with all my heart, that helped ease some of the pain. That poem is on one of my "Lose of Pet" cards in memory of Harley, called "In his Garden". I will be at Pet Animal Expo not only with my cards but also to help promote German Shepherd Rescue, something that is also dear to my heart.

Rememberance Candles

Today I started playing around with an idea, personalizing candles. I knew it wasn't going to be easy but thought it would be interesting trying. A rememberance candle doesn't have to be for those that we have lost, they can be for any occassion. This is the result.

R.I.P Hogan

Yesterday I lost a very special friend. A German Shepherd dog who felt like one of my own. Whenever I was down I went & got my Hogan fix, he had the power to make things better. The impact you had on the lives you touched, I will miss you so much my Hoggy Poggy Bear. Teach all our other furbabies to play soccer your way. Run free Hoggy & you will be forever in my heart. I miss you.

First Craft Market

This saturday is going to be my first craft market, its at the Rose Garden Belmont on the North Shore. Called Love Handmade should be fun. Hopefully this will be the first of many.
